The Alberta School Councils' Association defines school councils as structured groups of parents, principals, teachers, secondary students, and community representatives who work together to effectively support and enhance student learning. They provide a method for members of the school community to consult with and offer advice to the principal and the school board respecting matters relating to the school.
At Duclos we have a strong school council that works hard to support student learning and well being. They are a positive group dedicated to our staff and students. We meet about 8 times throughout the year and welcome all parents to come and sit in on one or more meetings. You do not have to speak or sign up for anything. Come and see what we are all about.
Our School Council Chair is Sarah Severn. You can contact Sarah at s_severn@live.ca or at 780-573-2701 and she will be more then happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our school council.
